Narrative Synopsis
IN JUSTICE is a character-driven exploration of the effects of systems, particularly court, prison, housing, school, medical and the justice system (as well as the intersections) on individuals, families and communities.
One family, many systems. One teen, plenty of obstacles.
From each seat in the courtroom– judge, defense attorney, prosecuting attorney, and the accused. The film follows one accused teen for whom innocence or guilt is not the main issue. From college counselor to corrections officers the impact of laws is not for textbooks when it means deportation, homelessness, unemployment and worse for not just one family but entire communities.
